A note from the
Publisher
Welcome to the Association News Network. We value your
time and interest, and hope that the groups with whom we
work may offer you what you seek within the professional
insurance claims resolution community in Northern
California.
Though the internet has become such an integral part of life for so many, we begin to realize that technology alone,
while creating an amazing shift in how business is
conducted, cannot live up to its potential without ongoing
human interaction. Personal and professional growth,
continuing education, and networking within your community
all hold as much value as ever, if not more than before.
Certainly, the value of staying on top of new information
and trends will serve each of
us well.
I encourage you to seek out more
information. Check out the sites for one or more of these
organizations: CCCA, EBCA, MVCA and SCA. Attend the
meetings. They are informative, enjoyable, and worthy of
your time and energy. Who knows, you might have a bit of fun
while getting to know some quality folks, too.

Bryan Harrison has been
involved in communications within the insurance claims
community since 1984. He began his career as an independent
advertising sales rep. for a prominent regional claims
directory, before playing an instrumental role in the launch
of a monthly industry trade magazine.
In January, 1993 he established The Association News
Network©, with the birth of the East Bay Adjusters
edition. Through advertising sponsorships, Bryan was able to
provide the A.N.N. publications free of charge to the association from the very start.
Bryan's new program effectively began providing production and
distribution services of a monthly newsletter publication
(and later affiliated web site), enabling the non-profit
organization to get the word out in a professional
manner without the expense and volunteer energies being spent.
The success of this initial edition quickly drew attention
with several other local associations within the region. Within the first 18 months, Harrison
Promotional Services had taken on five editions. With subsequent mergers and changes in the industry - combined associations and such - HPS survived a bit of turmoil and settled nicely into publishing four (4) monthly
editions, while hosting and maintaining affiliated web
sites respectively for each organization. In September, 2007, HPS was incorporated into what is now Association News Network, Inc. HPS continues as a division of ANN, Inc., providing web site design and hosting; photography services; and music production.
Bryan Harrison, now President of Association News Network, Inc., remains a member of each of these fine professional
groups, providing photographic services at most all
meetings, writing follow-up meeting reviews, and doing his part to assist the
management of each group to forward growth. He has served on the East Bay Claims Association Board of Directors, and the Nominations Committee for the Central Coast Claims Association in the South
Bay area.
In late 1993, Bryan was asked by the founders of the Claims Conference of Northern
California to be directly involved in
formulating what has become one of the most respected
conferences of its kind. He has served each year since, presently working as the CCNC's
webmaster, and has been asked by incoming 2008 CCNC President, Bill Hanamaikai, to serve as the CCNC Vice President.
As part of the firm's commitment to the insurance claims community in Northern California, Harrison Promotional Services, now a division of Association News Network, Inc., also maintains and updates the design and content of the web site for the Property Claims Association of the Pacific, as well as some other industry and non-industry sites.
A native of Northern California, Bryan makes his home in the
East Bay, has two grown children, and was recently married in July 2007. In addition to his publishing work, Bryan also maintains a music career as a singer-songwriter and band leader for the band known as BHB. |
