“One of the deep secrets of life
is that all that is really worth
the doing is what we do for others”
anon.

Kelly Denison is a fixture in the volunteers among the claims associations and in her leisure life. She has always been there for whomever needed her, and not just for business reasons, Kelly

doesn’t tend to discriminate in that regard. She worked for Benchmark Administrative Services for over 20 years, starting there as a paralegal and discovering a passion for the medical management business while building relationships for that company. The Bodily Injury type presentations at the Sacramento Claims Association have been fewer now that the Property Claims Forum was integrated into the SCA, but Kelly’s service to the organization has not flagged. She is entering the 2nd year of a second 3-year term as the Treasurer of the SCA and her commitment to the board of directors has remained strong even though she rarely makes any new contacts in her field among the attendees. Kelly’s keen interest in education has kept her attending the SCA luncheons, assisting at the check-in desk for the 50-50 raffle, assisting in the distribution of door prizes and helping at the golf tournament, the Winter Party or any other place she can be a valued helper.

Kelly and a partner have started their own business, Liberty Executive Admin, Inc. as of October of 2008 as a complete administrative support service for healthcare professionals who offer their time and expertise to the medical-legal industry. The doctors that are available as expert witnesses for insurance carriers are among the professionals that the new company offers tender loving care with marketing and comprehensive administrative support from reporting to billing to legal calendaring and subpoena matters

Kelly has not been taking it easy on the home front either as she has been a working mother of four. Mother to four children of her heart; Brandy is graduating this year from UC Santa Cruz with a Business Economics Degree, Brad is into classic car restoration in Auburn and loving it. In addition, her stepson BJ has become a father recently and informally adopted Kathy is working in security at Cabelas now that she is returned from a tour of duty in Iraq.

She is the show secretary for the US Equestrian Federation and was recently honored as one of the top ten horse show secretaries in the nation. She displays many of the same attention to detail and tracking disciplines she utilizes in following the finances of the SCA. Show secretaries track and manage the entrants to the horse shows; make sure all the documents are accounted for; are in charge of maintaining the rules and timelines and track the horses, riders and owners that are entered. She acts as an official throughout the show and creates reports of the results.

Her daughter’s horse that Kelly rides regularly is a Grand National Champion that is housed near her home in Yolo County. Kelly has ridden all of her life even though she was raised in town, her friends were all farm kids and the living was easy in the small Valley town. She and her buddies were riding bikes all over when they weren’t on horseback and Kelly considers it a blessing that she was able to experience the freedom of small town life as a kid. She returned to Woodland to raise her children in the farming community that is a world away from Sacramento.

Thankfully for us, Kelly is willing to continue the relationship she has always had with the SCA- that of support and assistance wherever needed.
